Boiled Turnip-Rutabagga Medley

2 Turnips

  • 2 Rutabagas

  • 1T Mirin IT Brown Rice Vinegar

  • Fresh Dill

Boil turnips and rutabagas (after peeling). Cut into halves and slice. Boil for about 25 minutes. Make sure you can put a fork through them, but not soft enough that they break up. (If they do, you can also mash them, just skip the mirin and vinegar.) Drain and shock briefly with cold water. Lay out on a plate or dish. Add other ingredients and serve.
