Botanical Medicine
Simply put, botanical medicines are plants or substances that come from plants that are used to treat or prevent disease. Plants have been used in this way since the beginning of time. They are more inclusive than just herbal medicines because they include plant parts that are not strictly herbs, such as bark, seeds, roots, and stems.
As part of the regular curriculum in Europe, doctors are regularly trainied in using nutrition as a form of medicine. More importantly, Dr. Ataner and a few of her colleagues were part of a group of doctors that were part of a pharmacology clinique specifically set up as a training platform for treating illnesses using herbs and botanicals as an alternative to chemical pharmacology.
With roots solidly planted in a European culture, coupled with years of Naturopathic training, Dr. Ataner delivers an unprecedented repertoire of skills and knowledge specific to botanical medicines and their uses.
