Top Ten Food Categories to Help with Cancer Control


Eat several small meals throughout the day using the following foods

  1. Vegetables: Vegetables are rich in antioxidants, anti-cancer nutrients, and are rich in cleansing fiber. Colorful vegetables, such as beets, spinach, carrots, tomatoes, and squash provide protection for the human body and help stimulate the immune system to destroy cancer cells.

  2. Cabbage Family: Cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, bok choy, mustard greens, and cauliflower have a series of anti-cancer and detoxifying substances. Cruciferous vegetables are able to increase the body's production of glutathione peroxidase, which is one of the more important protective enzyme systems in the body.

  3. Cold water Fish: Salmon, haddock, halibut, cod, tuna, and other fish from the deep ocean waters, contain anti-cancer fats, which slow down the spread of cancer.

  4. Legumes: Soybeans, black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, and spit peas are rich in protease inhibitors that help to fight cancer. Legumes also have the cleansing activity of soluble fibers.

  5. Whole Grains: Brown rice, wild rice, millet, amaranth, buckwheat, and quinoa, help to stem cancer deterioration. When the fiber gets broken down in the gut, it creates butyric acid, which is a powerful anti-cancer agent. Have one serving a day, three to four times per week.

  6. Kelp: Sea vegetables such as kelp, dulse, nori, hijiki, arame, and wakame are a wonderful source of the many trace minerals that are in the ocean. They are rich in anti-microbial agents that can keep pathogens from invading our guts.

  7. Colorful Berries: Raspberries, boysenberries, strawberries, dark cherries, blueberries, and blackberries contain ellagic acid, an anti-cancer agent that causes cancer cells to self destruct (apoptosis).

  8. Yogurt: Lactobacillus, contained in yogurt, helps to support the immune system components in the gastrointestinal tract to fortify the body's defenses against infections and cancer. Use only organic, sugar free, yogurt to reduce intake of excessive hormones.

  9. Green Tea: Green tea contains catechins and other microscopic phytochemicals that are a treasure trove of cancer-fighting agents. Researchers at the National Cancer Institute in Japan and China have found numerous mechanisms explaining why green tea can help prevent and even reverse some forms of cancer.

  10. Healthy Seasonings: Mustard, curry, hot peppers, salsa, cinnamon, garlic, onions, ginger, sage, rosemary, thyme, and other seasonings should replace the typical "fat, salt, and sugar" approach to flavoring foods. These seasonings add flavor and therapeutic anti-cancer and immune-stimulating ingredients.

  11. Clean Water: Water in the body helps to cleanse and dilute impurities, stabilze acid/base balance, and provide a healthy flow of nutrients into the cells and toxins out of the cells.

  12. Garlic: Garlic has been found to stimulate natural protection against tumor cells. Garlic provides the liver with a certain amount of protection against carcinogenic chemicals. Scientists find that garlic is deadly to invading pathogens, but is harmless to normal healthy cells.

  13. Carotenoids: Carotenoids and bioflavonoids act like the lead lining in a nuclear reactor to absorb dangerous unpaired electrons to protect against free radicals. Carotenoids are found in green and orange fruits and vegetables. Bioflavonoids are found in citrus, whole grains, and other plant foods.

  14. Mushrooms: Research shows that Reishi, Shiitake, and Maitake mushrooms are potent anti-cancer foods.

  15. Soybeans: Researchers at the National Cancer Institute have found that a collection of substances in soybeans, including isoflavones and phytoestrogens, appear to have potent anti-cancer properties.

  16. Others: There are numerous foods that show an ability to slow tumor growth in some way. A highly mixed nutritious diet should be the foundation for nutrition in cancer therapy. Food contains known essential nutrients that stimulate the immune system and provide protection against carcinogens. Foods also contain poorly understood factors that may add measurably to the recovery of the cancer patient. Many foods have tremendous therapeutic value in helping the patient to internally fight cancer.

IMPORTANT

Drink a minimum 5 cups of pure water daily. Water helps flush out toxins and keeps the body well hydrated.
