Cranberry Wisdom

Native North Americans knew the wisdom of using cranberry juice as a way to protect against urinary infections and scurvy for hundreds of years. Now research proves the wisdom in their ways and also supports the use of cranberries for other health benefits. Drinking cranberry juice also contributes in maintaining the health of the cardiovascular system. Having a daily glass of cranberry juice decreases oxidized LDL (bad) cholesterol in the blood.

LDL cholesterol is the kind that can collect in blood vessel walls and is linked to stroke and heart disease. That same daily glass of cranberry juice increases blood levels of HDL (good) cholesterol with its important properties of improving blood circulation and dislodging LDL cholesterol from blood vessel walls.

Not only are cranberries higher than most fruits and vegetables in antioxidants, they are also anatural probiotic enhancing the health of our digestive systems and provide some protection from food borne illnesses. Those little red berries pack a lot of "punch".
